CCC Earns Top 20 Ranking in the Annual Award Celebrating the State’s Leading Companies and Nonprofits Run by Women
The Women’s Edge and its partner, The Boston Globe, announced that CCC (Copyright Clearance Center), a pioneer in voluntary collective licensing, was again named to its annual Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts list, ranking #19 overall. The Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts list is ranked through an algorithm that factors in revenue, as well as workplace diversity, innovation, and customer benefits.
“We are so proud to celebrate 25 years of honoring women leaders who are shaping the Massachusetts economy and paving the way for future generations,” said Elizabeth L. Hailer, Chief Executive Officer of The Women’s Edge. “This year’s honorees collectively employ hundreds of thousands and lead with courage, innovation, and purpose. Their leadership is not only transforming organizations but helping to build stronger, more equitable communities.”
This represents the 25th year that The Women’s Edge has created the list and the 13th year that the Globe Magazine has partnered with the group. The Globe Magazine Women & Power issue published the complete list, which featured companies including Fresenius Medical Care, Fidelity Investments, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, M&T Bank, Citizens Financial Group, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, and Takeda. The companies on the 25th anniversary list represent a total revenue and operating budget of $141 billion.
“CCC is thrilled to be recognized once again amongst the standout list of women-led companies operating in our state,” said Tracey Armstrong, President and CEO, CCC. “Being part of The Women’s Edge community of leaders is important to us, and we value the leadership and development opportunities available to the women within our company, who comprise more than 50% of the workforce and the executive team at CCC today.”
